Privacy Policy

Updated October 9, 2026

GroupsHunter is an AI agent that finds opportunities for you in Facebook groups. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, and what you can ask us to do with it.

This policy applies to the GroupsHunter website, app, forms and support channels. GroupsHunter is the controller of the personal information it collects for those services.

1. Information we collect

The information depends on how you use GroupsHunter and may include:

  • account and profile details: email, a hashed password, profile type, language, and the details you wrote as allowed or not allowed to share;
  • Facebook accounts you connect: their Facebook name, picture and ID, the active sign-in that lets the agent work on your behalf, and whether the account is primary;
  • work information: chats with the agent, tasks, preferences, the agent's memory, saved groups, and the groups, posts and public ads the service read for you;
  • support requests and the contact form: name, email and the message;
  • technical information: IP address, browser type, server logs and errors;
  • cookies: necessary cookies work by default; analytics cookies work only with your consent.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide, operate and secure GroupsHunter, including to:

  • search groups, scan posts and find opportunities that match what you asked for;
  • perform Facebook actions you approved on your behalf, like a request to join a group;
  • answer requests and send service and security messages;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access;
  • diagnose faults and improve the service;
  • meet legal obligations.

3. AI processing

For the agent to understand requests, score posts and write answers, we send the relevant text, such as your messages, preferences and post content, to AI model providers, currently OpenAI. They process it for us under data-processing agreements.

We do not use your information to train AI models.

4. Lawful basis and consent

Depending on the context, we process information because it is needed to provide the service, because we have a legitimate operational or security need, because the law requires it, or because you consented.

Where consent is required, you may withdraw it. Withdrawing it may limit features that depend on it.

5. When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only in limited circumstances:

  • with providers working for us under confidentiality duties: hosting and database (Supabase), AI models (OpenAI), email and analytics;
  • with Facebook, when the agent acts in an account you connected, for example a search or a join request, subject to Meta's policies;
  • with courts or authorities when the law requires it or to protect rights and safety;
  • in a merger, acquisition or restructuring, subject to reasonable protections.

6. Information about other people

Posts in Facebook groups can include the names and details of the people who wrote them. The service reads them only from groups your Facebook account can see, to find opportunities for you, and keeps only what it needs for that.

Anyone who appears in a saved post and wants us to delete it can write to support@groupshunter.com.

7. International transfers

We and our providers may process and store information outside Israel. Such transfers use a mechanism permitted by applicable law.

8. Security and retention

We use administrative and technical safeguards, such as per-user access control in the database, encryption in transit and security logs. No online service is completely secure.

We keep information while the account is active, and afterward only as long as it is needed for the purposes described here or a legal duty. You can delete chats, tasks and memory at any time in Settings > Data management.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you are, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a copy of personal information. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Send privacy requests to support@groupshunter.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.

10. Children and security incidents

GroupsHunter is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If a security incident affects personal information, we investigate and document it and notify the Privacy Protection Authority, affected people or other authorities when the law requires it, without undue delay.

11. Cookies policy

Necessary cookies remember essential choices and keep the website and the app sign-in working. They cannot be disabled through the consent banner. Optional analytics cookies are used only after you choose Accept All.

You can change your choice by clearing the site's stored data in your browser. Denying optional cookies does not prevent access to the website's content.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the service.

The controller for this policy is GroupsHunter, reachable at support@groupshunter.com and https://groupshunter.com. Account deletion is described on the Account deletion page.
